Let’s get Flash on this bitch!

As for many people I love Apple products. They really know how to create the best user experience. But I also love Adobe who provides me with great tools I like to work with. But what really bothers me is the bitchfight between those 2 companies that’s already going on way too long.

Well… let’s do what I suggest in the title of this blog. Let’s get Flash on this bitch. Not that I have an Iphone, but I know a lot of people who love to see Flash on their phone. So, go this amazing site called Let’s get some flash on this bitch.com.

Because we don’t want to go back in history with HTML5, do we? On this webpage you can see why HTML5 isn’t more than what Flash was 8 years ago.  http://www.flashlab.com/html5/

    Ze contradicten zichzelf hier, want ze zeggen HTML5 is wat Flash jaren geleden was en dat klopt EXACT. HTML5 staat nog ongelooflijk in z’n kinderschoenen, terwijl Adobe al miljarden heeft gepompt in de ontwikkeling van Flash.

    Ik weet zeker dat er nog grote performance-slagen zullen komen en dat hierdoor de performance van HTML5 drastisch zal verbeteren.

    Neemt niet weg dat Flash momenteel superieur is! Maar ik weet niet of dat for ever zo blijft.

    In de tijd dat HTML5 zich kan meten met wat Flash nu is, is Flash ook alweer een heel stuk verder.

    Maar waar ik me wel behoorlijk aan kan storen is dat Apple maar even bepaald wat het internet nu zou moeten zijn. Flash is er, het wordt veel gebruikt, ondersteun het dan. Geef eventueel de optie om het uit te zetten. Iedereen tevreden. :-)

    Je snapt ook -waarom- de keuze is gemaakt? Flash is niet open, althans niet open genoeg voor op de iWatDanOok.

    Niets van Apple is open, ik zie het probleem niet als ik eerlijk ben. Maar het is open genoeg om Flash op de Iphone te krijgen hoor. Een hele tijd terug kwam ik een JS library tegen die SWF files kon interpreteren zoals de Flash player doet. Wel heel beperkt maar at least they did it !
